Bad days can leave you feeling like you've been hit by a bus, they knock the energy out of you and can start a cycle of negativity. We have all been there - through a job loss, job rejection, lost wallet, broken phone screen, the bad date, the break up . Whilst we can't get rid of the ex (sorry), we have compiled a list of things you can do right now to brighten your day ever so slightly...

1. Cry (IF YOU WANT TO)

When stressed your body produces substances like prolactin and adrenocoricotrophin both of which show up in large doses in emotional tears. So when you cry, your body is literally dumping these bad chemicals out of your body, onto somewhere less harmful (your cheeks). Emotional crying also sedates the parasympathetic nervous system, which explains why you can feel calm after a big cry. Convinced? 2. choose Love

A meditation I listed to recently really helped put things back into perspective after a particularly bad day I had recently.  It reminded me that in everything we do, we say and are involved in there are two ways we choose to live - a place of fear or a place of love. No matter how bad the moment is, you need to take responsibility for you how show up - in your relationships, in your work, what you say, what you do and how you do things.  You can do everything out of either love or fear. 3. Exhale

Allow yourself to be here in this moment. You are exactly where you are suppose to be. I invite you to let go of your day, let go of anything that has happened - any stress, worry, tension or concern let it go and return back to your breathe. Return to your true, grounded self and breathe.

4. REPEAT: I AM BADASS

Girl, remember that you are amazing. If that is too challenging I encourage you to surround yourself with loved ones who can remind you how fabulous you really are.
